The Equitable Education Fund (EEF) Thailand invites members of the media and the public to attend the EEF International Forums Phase V, an international academic seminar under the theme “Breaking the Limits: Unlocking PWDs’ Potential through Enhanced Workability and Inclusive Practices.” This online seminar will take place on Wednesday, March 26, 2025, from 2:30 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. and aims to promote employment opportunities and career development for persons with disabilities. The session will highlight practical approaches that can be applied to foster a sustainable and inclusive employment ecosystem.

The event will feature Ms. Priti Lobo, Director of EnAble India, a leading non-profit organization from India dedicated to advancing economic opportunities and dignity for persons with disabilities since 1999. EnAble India has partnered with over 700 companies across 28 states in India, directly facilitating the employment of more than 6,000 individuals with disabilities and supporting over 22,000 more through capacity-building initiatives and advisory networks.

EnAble India focuses on fostering “Agency”—empowering persons with disabilities by enhancing their skills, building confidence, and encouraging active participation in the workforce. This internationally recognized approach has been successfully adopted in various countries worldwide.

The EEF International Forums, an initiative from the Equitable Education Fund (EEF), serves as a platform for sharing knowledge, experience, views, and innovations related to education and vocational training for disadvantaged children and youths. Since its inception in 2019, the seminar initially took place on-site three times before transitioning to an online format due to the global Covid-19 pandemic. Despite this change, the seminar’s reach expanded significantly, accommodating a broader scope of content encompassing knowledge exchange for EEF network partners as well. This inclusive approach welcomed speakers from diverse countries, enhancing the richness and diversity of perspectives shared during the sessions.
