Homegrown Teacher Scholarship Program

The Equitable Education Fund (EEF) Thailand

supports underprivileged youth with strong academic performance and a deep commitment to the teaching profession, enabling them to pursue teacher education and secure positions as public school teachers upon graduation.

In 2023, EEF awarded scholarships to 1,170+ disadvantaged students (aged 18–24) who demonstrated both academic excellence and a strong sense of vocation in teaching. These students are currently enrolled in teacher education programs at 18 accredited institutions nationwide.

Over the next five years, the program is expected to place newly qualified teachers in approximately 1,260+ public schools located in remote and underserved areas across 62 provinces. The 2024 academic year will mark a significant milestone, with the first cohort of 320+ graduates under the “Homegrown Teacher Scholarship Program” being appointed as public school teachers in their home communities. EEF continues to provide comprehensive support and preparation to ensure their successful integration into the education system.
